Uptown urban grove
Uptown Urban Grove is a multi-story building integrated with a lush green space in the heart of uptown Charlotte. The site is currently an empty parking lot turned into a expansive multi-use and office tower with a public spaces and park at the podium level. Uptown Urban Grove is a net-zero energy tower which aims to lower the overall urban heat island effect. By employing an evaporative cooling façade, a mainly mass-timber structure, and replacing most of the site with greenspaces, the project exceeded its goal by reducing the overall EUI and embodied carbon of the entire project.
